‘I believe we are all unique and therefore adopt a personalized,
collaborative approach to therapy. In our work together,
I aim to ensure a warm, compassionate and client focused approach to
enable you to understand your individual experiences.
Using some specific therapeutic tools and techniques and/or often
exploring past experiences can promote significant change. This may
support you to manage and make life-long meaningful changes independently
which you can continue to adopt long after our work together is ended.’

Within her extensive clinical roles and teaching, Jacqueline has demonstrated the importance of adopting a holistic approach, using evidence-based psychological therapies of both integrative and CBT modalities as well as incorporating, where necessary, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is mainly used to help with traumatic feelings that have come about due to traumatic experiences. These include car crashes/road accidents, physical violation/assault, early childhood trauma or the loss of a loved one to name a few. It is a popular therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder, but it is increasingly being used for other issues too.
Jacqueline has a specialist interest complex trauma and specifically OCD. She also has a dedicated personal curiosity in moving towards equine assisted psychotherapy and expanding her knowledge and training towards incorporating EMDR for animals. She enjoys her retired rescue racehorse and therapy dog connecting with nature and long walks.
